One police officer was shot and another man was killed during a chaotic police shootout Tuesday afternoon near Ogden-Weber Technical College in Utah. The officer was receiving medical treatment and was in stable condition as of Tuesday evening, said Ogden Deputy Chief Jake Sube. The attack occurred after police were responding to a protective order violation, according to NBC affiliate KSL of Salt Lake City. Sube said that an officer arrived at the scene and encountered a man with a gun. It's unclear what led to gunfire being exchanged, but additional officers were quickly called to the area.
