Ogden police blocking off the street on Washington Boulevard and 2nd Street. (KSL TV/Jack Grim) OGDEN, Utah — An Ogden police officer has been shot and hospitalized and is currently in stable condition. The person who was suspected of shooting the officer was shot and killed by police officers according to an Ogden Police Department spokesman. The officer has been rushed for medical care but sources say he is alive. Ogden police announced a 6 p.m. press conference. In a video of a person in the area, a hail of gunfire can be heard while police activity can be seen.
